Coral Care & Placement Requirements

• Common Name: Silver Fox Blasto

• Species: Blastomussa wellsi

• Lighting: Low to Moderate (PAR 50–120). Blastos thrive in lower light sections of the tank. Too much intensity can cause the polyps to bleach or stay retracted.

• Water Flow: Low to Moderate. Provide gentle, indirect flow. High or direct linear flow will prevent the large, fleshy polyps from fully expanding.

• Feeding: Target feed 1–2 times a week with finely chopped mysis shrimp, reef roids, or specialized LPS pellets to maximize growth rates and tissue health.

• Temperament: Peaceful. They lack long sweeper tentacles, making them great neighbors on your lower rockwork or sand bed.
